The Season-Long Race For the Club Championship

Our club champion will be determined by a season-long points race, awarded at our club tournaments, the "majors" aka the Federation Invitationals, and the match-play events like the Battle of the Bay. Members who participate in the various NCGA Associate Club championships will also be awarded points for representing our club. All members will compete for points as follows:

Regular Dragons GC tournaments:

Players are awarded points from either Low Net or Low Gross contests, whichever is higher.

The Weekender: For the 36-hole medal play competition, members receive double (2x) the regular Dragons tournaments points as set forth above, in accordance to your finish. For the intra-club team competition, each member of winning team is awarded an additional 100 points, and each member of losing team receives 25 points for participating.

Battle of the Bay/NorCal Cup: 100 points for each Team Member for Team Win. Otherwise, 25 points for participating.

Federation Invitationals: 1st Place: 150 pts; 2nd: 125 pts; 3rd: 100 pts, for both gross and net. Otherwise, 10 points for participating.

Federation Invitational Team Matches: 1st Place: 100 pts; 2nd: 50 pts; 3rd: 25 pts, for each team member. Otherwise, 15 pts for participating.

NCGA Events:

All official NCGA events that occur within the regular Dragons’ tournament season, team or individual events:  1st Place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd: 60 pts. 10 points for participating (see specific tournaments for points in secondary or subsequent rounds).

NCGA Associate Club Championship team members (4-person teams): 1st Place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd: 60 pts. Each team member receives 10 points for participating in the championship local qualifier, 25 points for the sectional qualifier, and 50 points for the championship.

NCGA Associate Club 4-ball Net team members (2 person teams): 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd 60 pts. Each player receives 10 points for participating in the championship qualifier.

NCGA Women's Net Amateur (enter as singles): 1st Place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd: 60 pts, for both gross and net. Otherwise, 10 points for participating.

NCGA Women's 4-ball team members (2 person teams): 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd 60 pts. Otherwise, 10 points for participating.

NCGA Associate Club Net Amateur (enter as singles): 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd: 80 pts; 3rd 60 pts. Each player receives 10 points for participating in the qualifier.

Rookie of the Year:

Rookie of the Year is awarded annually to the highest ranking new member on the Dragon Cup Points List at the conclusion of the season.

The M.I.P. and High Gross:
The Club also recognizes the male and female golfers who improved the most during a given season.
Last and least, the Club will also compensate the male and female golfers who shot the highest average gross scores, usually by acknowledging the dubious distinction at our year-end awards banquet and providing a value-pack Price Club Top-Flite special.
